Assistant Coaches

Jeff Rahill

Coach Jeff started swimming with Mokihana in 1998. Shortly thereafter Coach O asked him to take coach's training and become an Assistant Coach. He became a Level 2 Coach member of the American Swim Coaches Association and a USA Swimming Official. In 1959 he first tried Age Group swimming with the Overlee Swim Team in Virginia. After the Coronado High School swim team, he swam in 1963 for the NAB Red Sharks which later became Coronado Navy Swim Association under Olympian Mike Troy. He was a corpsman (medic) with the 12th Marines in Okinawa in 1964-65 where he swam on the 3rd Marine Division Swim Team. He went to college in 1965, earned Water Safety Instructor (WSI) in 1966, and graduated from UCLA in 1969. Shortly thereafter he worked on the Big Island helping to build the observatory for UH on Mauna Kea. He ran the Masters program at the Kauai High School pool for one year in 1987 under the auspices of the YMCA and received a recognition award for his volunteer service. He has competed in numerous roughwater swims, the Ironman Triathlon in 1982, and two swimming Masters Nationals, posting four Top Ten times in the nation for his age group in 2000 and 2001. Coach Jeff is not an ex-champion swimmer, just someone with a love of the sport who wants to help kids become better swimmers and better people. He enjoys swimming the workouts with the kids when there's room in the pool, and being a volunteer coach on deck the rest of the time.

Bo Domingcil

My name is Bo Domingcil.  I was born and raised here on the island of Kauai.  I graduated from Waimea High School in 2003.  I now work for the County of Kauai Fire Department as a Firefighter.

Although I did not participate in any swim clubs, I joined the Waimea High School swim team every year until I graduated.  I have participated in invitational swim meets and also State competitions in High School.

I am very excited to start my coaching career with the Mokihana Aquatics swim club under Coach Orlando Anaya.  I am confident that I will develop my coaching skills because of the experience, training, and knowledge that already exists with this club. I also would like to pass down the knowledge from my own experiences with swimming.  I have always enjoyed swimming. Through coaching, I will be able to give back to this sport and to the island of Kauai.

Aloha, Bo Domingcil
